Project overview
Construction of the new 73-home Council-led housing development began on 15 January 2025. The City of ΎΕΙ« Council appointed CCG (Scotland) as main contractor. Completion is expected in Winter 2026.
Housing-led development
The new homes are designed to meet Net Zero standards, helping to reduce emissions and lower household energy costs . The development uses a people-focused design, with modern insulation, efficient heating systems, and sustainable building materials throughout. The building height and character complement the surrounding area and the development will have a green space and play area.
Site activity and progress
Work is moving forward well on the new homes at Murrayburn Gate. All building areas (Cores 1 – 7) are now complete, and roof installation is currently progressing across the site. Inside the buildings, plumbing and electrical work is being installed.
Construction inside will continue at pace, focusing next on further internal fit-out and finishing works.
Local access and safety
Traffic plan and working schedule minimise disruption. Local access to the shopping plaza will remain.
Public access to the live construction site is strictly prohibited. Controlled pedestrian routes operate nearby.
